The Kids are Depressed

Instead of anything related to London, my City Moleskin is full of random, sporadic thoughts; Things that I heard, read or thought about that struck me for no real reason. I considered becoming an anonymous blogger for a bit, but it struck me a bit too Post Secret/Bridget Jones'ey.
The Kids are Depressed
is the first in what will hopefully become a small series illustrating these texts without, I hope, being cringe.

Socle [was amazing]

As anticipated, the opening night of Socle was spectacular! With a bottle of LIDL's finest Cava in hand and my warmest coat on, I spent the evening enjoying the most varied collection of artwork I have ever witnessed, in an equally unique setting. Extended until further notice, you can find out the secret password, directions etc by calling this number: 07508572978.

The Front Cover Fanzine

A little while ago I got a text from Daniel Almeroth asking for some work for a fanzine he was making, I was like 'yeah sure' and then found out he needed it that night. My solution was to have a flick through my old diaries for something suitable, and I came across this.

Socle Exhibition

If your not up to much Tuesday 19th then head over to Bow Church for Socle; The space, a large disused warehouse, is stunning and the coinciding exhibit 'I'm Thinking Of Something Stranger' not to be missed. Following all that, there'll be a good old fashioned rave happening that very same night, whats not to like?

Garden 23

I went home last weekend, to the lovely sea side and snow topped hills of Dorset... Actually, it wasn't that lovely, it was 'Frozen Britain' bloody freezing and I went to get my wisdom teeth pulled. However, stuck indoors with half a numb face, I was struck by inspiration and made my first 'proper' illustration in ages, its called Garden 23.

New Kid on the Block

Photographer, Artist and general Philosophical Thinker Oliver Topple has made a blog, and I am delighted to be in it, check it out HERE! (He taught me how to make words into links hence my enthusiasm...)

when I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
and then I don't feel so bad"

Long time no talk

Its been a while again I know! I have moved home again, this time to Londres, its pretty fab. Currently I am doing some work experience for a company called Stylorouge and learning about things I didn't know existed, very cool. Today, on their behalf went on a little adventure seeking out Prop houses, If you ever find yourself in High St Kensington I highly recommend a look at this place.

Some Italian Pigeons a Swiss Cat and Swan

I don't know why I didn't put these up before; Some photo's from Zurich and Milan in September. Quite excited after filling up another film today which had some more of Switzerland on it... watch this space.
.

Whenever I look at this I think of that Brandy song The Boy Is Mine:

Lady One - I just wanted to let you know he's mine.

Lady Two - Huh..no no, he's mine.

Home Sweet Home

Grudgingly I am back from Zurich, but full of idea's....!
The above images are extracts of a diary that I kept whilst working at Nieves.
Mr.Milk, the charming drug dealer who I watched all day from my excellent vantage point in the shop window.
And I suppose the second is self explanatory... Three letters: OCD.

One Night Stand

I have been dying to work with the 5-man extravaganza that is Crabwolf since they joined thier illustrative forces last year. A couple of weeks ago, mainly because they couldn't do the fiddly bits, I was invited to join them in a 5-hour session of Live Art at the Queen of Hoxton, Shoreditch. The first photo is the result of our five hour drunken doodling session, the one below the dry run the night before...

Wrapping Paper

You may recognise these... Whilst printing the Tee's I managed to squeeze another design on the screen and produced a pile of animal pattern, A3 wrapping paper. Its the last time I use these drawings promise!

Speaking of the T-Shirts, they are now on sale at Boscome Underground.

Something Old, Something New

Another long lost find, I wish I had more time for Illustration at the moment!

Hello Bloggers, sorry for the recent lack of Activity. In the last few weeks I have graduated, moved house and gained an additional two jobs. Busy times.
These Collages were part of my re-scripting phase (read below) I found them buried in a pile of stuff whilst moving.

Illustration featured in Issue 2 of Arts Thread Magazine.

On Wednesdays Ishihara Exhibition I exhibited these photographs, I'm so happy to have finally done it, Its been on the to-do list for a while. Last year me and my friend LJ went dump hunting and I came across these in a skip, I figured they must have belonged to someone who had died. A big brown envelope with the a life times collection of photographs, memories and experiences, about to be thrown away.

Recent investigation into the depths of our family PC lead to the photographic discovery of Big Bear, a one off spectactular! A little parakeet comes out of his pocket, and the unicorn is attached by poppers. Especially made for my cousin Jase.

Look who I found!

I went home for a couple of days and found these little ones, I think I made about 30 in 2nd year, quite tempted to start up the pocket friends again, so cute!
