Spruce Up

There was starting to be a bit too much beige in the sofa corner, for €3 I got some lovely blue material from the market, and gave my little seat a make over.

Resolution...

...Draw More!

I actually drew these guys with the idea that I could plaster blown up versions of them around Neukölln, specifically one wall which would become a kind of illustrated avery of my feathered friends. Unfortunatly though I am A. Scared of the dark and B. Scared of the police and therefore they are probably never going to go further than this blog.

Tote-Tastic

Thanks to the lovely people at Etsy Berlin and SDW Neukölln, I was able to hand print a whole bunch of tote bags with images from my last roll of film, watch this space for more screen printed paraphernalia and where to buy it all soon!

An apple a day

Thanks to London based Locavore Alice Bamford I spent a solid week experimenting with different ways of drawing English fruit and veg to decorate her new blog. For days my desk was strewn with an assortment of crayons, colouring pencils and screwed up sketches of potatoes, which are quite frankly, impossible to draw. See the logo here (note the lack of potatoes...)

Over the rainbow

Yesterday afternoon I took part in a workshop run by graffitti duo Karl Addison and James Bullough. I painted a gay unicorn. I can safely say it's got no reflection on their respective artistic skills... Or mine come to that

Shabby Chic

another man's treasure

Unfortunatly I can't take credit for this because I bought these portraits at the market today, but couldn't resist blogging them they're so good.

Motto

I'm working a few days a week at Motto in Kreuzberg, which is great but also very dangerous, far too much temptation to buy every other book in the shop

Bejeweled

I made a blog once that was just amazing pictures of cats from the Internet, just cats, no distracting text, nothing. It was brilliant. Unfortunately I forgot the password or the URL and basically any way of accessing it so it’s lost to the web. If anyone ever finds it you will be greatly rewarded, with endless amounts of cat viewing pleasure.

Obelisk

Paris-based fine artist Katie Bannell is putting on a little exhibition and I am delighted to be featured in it

All of this for under €100, it probably wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that 90% of the reason I wanted to move here was becuase of the flea markets
